Homework
Oral Reports: There will be no share the rest of the year.
Tuesdays: Nathan, Khloe, Adam, Camila, Shayne, Drew
Wednesdays: Emily, Alex, Caden, Avery, Isaiah, Benny
Thursdays: Katelynn, Isabella, Quinn, Mason, Maia, Sharliz
Fridays: Emma, Bryce, Enzo, Allison, Makayla, Zane, Geovanni
The format for sharing is: "Hello boys and girls, my name is __________________. Today I will share an item.
Then have your child give 3 clues as to what their share is and the class has to try and guess.
Kindergarten Homework A decodable reader and a list of activities will go home on Monday and there is an activity to do each night. Please sign and turn in the blue sheet on Friday.
Children benefit from practicing what they are learning in a variety of ways, including in real-life settings and at home. However, nightly "pencil-and-paper" homework will not be required. Our full-day kindergarten program provides ample time to learn essential skills and concepts. Kindergarten homework will be assigned on an as-needed basis, in accordance with district guidelines. We hope that our homework program's flexibility will help you to make the most of your time with your child!
As a grade level team, we will occasionally expect children to do a special project or a practice page at home. Please check the class website for the assignments that every student is required to complete and return. If individual review pages must be finished at home, you will receive a note from your child's teacher.
Some families will find it works best for them to go ahead and establish a regular homework routine for their kindergartner, perhaps alongside older siblings. Our new reading series includes an excellent component for families, and it can be used for daily practice. On most Mondays, we will send home two resource pages:

- A decodable book: We strongly encourage you to listen as your child "reads" these little books. They may choose to color them as well. It helps to keep them all in a decorated shoebox or other special place for ongoing practice.
